Lawyer Ferdinand Topacio was called out on Twitter recently after he directly red-tagged young star Liza Soberano.
A netizen uploaded a screenshot of his tweet saying that Soberano is a “communist terrorist enabler.”
He also encouraged people to tag her and her lawyer and challenged them to file a case against him.

Ferdinand Topacio is a lawyer and managing partner of his own firm. He held various positions in the government and is a former speechwriter of the Office of the Vice President (1989-1991), Special Legal Counsel to the Mayor of Manila (1993-1998), Director in the Office of Public Affairs at the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and Assistant Secretary for Local Government at the DILG.
He also had celebrity clients including Claudine Barretto.
Topacio became a member of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s legal team in March 2013. He was asked to represent her in a plunder case filed against her and her son, Dato Arroyo in connection with the Libmanan-Cabusao Dam Project.
