- The netizen’s friends got offended and accused her of being pretentious and insensitive.
- It is said that it has been two years since the person borrowed the money but they have yet to pay for it.
Most Filipinos tend to be understanding and considerate of other people’s situations, especially when it comes to financial capacity.
This is why a lot of us are willing to lend some money to those who are in need.
Another common trait is that we often get shy or reluctant when it comes to asking for that money back thinking that the other person might feel offended.
Facebook user Aira Polea shared her experience when she finally built up her courage and messaged a friend to get her money back. The thing is, this friend did not reply to the way Aira wanted them to. Instead of nicely returning the money to her, they got angry and accused her of many things.
Sorry na po,” Aira wrote on her post.
She then attached a screenshot of their conversation which started off with her asking her friend how they were and if it’s okay for her to get back the money she lent them.
But this friend immediately got offended and answered back aggressively. They said that it was Aira’s fault and that she only mentioned the baby to pretend that she cares.
“Bakit ngayon ka lang naningil? Eh siyempre magagamit namin pera. Kasalanan mo yan. Palibhasa may pera ka,” was the reply.
Aira then apologized and said that it was not her intention to hurt their feelings. But they promised her that they will return the money after a month, but it has been two years since.
The friend continued to get offended and asked Aira if she’s accusing them of running away from people they owe money to.
“So sinasabi mo di ako nagbabayad ng utang?
Aira then wrote in her post that she also borrows money but she never reacted the way her friend did.
