Pro-ABS-CBN shutdown and DDS netizens swallow pride for a shot of fame through ‘Pinoy Big Brother’

Out of all the auditionees, only 12 will make it to the final cut.

Ever since it was announced that Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) will continue on its ninth season, over a hundred thousand have signed up to audition.

The ABS-CBN reality show is one of the best ways for people to get into the show business that even those who supported the network’s unfortunate franchise denial by a committee of the House of Representatives are trying to get an invite to Kuya’s house.

This in turn prompted Kapamilya followers to go on social media and advise the PBB team to filter out auditionees who celebrated the shutdown, mostly “diehard Duterte supporters,” because they simply do not deserve it.

One of those who got an invite from PBB was a guy named Charlie Drin from Gamu, Isabela. He wrote a lengthy post on Facebook asking for support so he can fulfill his dream of participating in the show.

Unfortunately, Charlie was immediately exposed after netizens went through his Facebook account and saw posts of him rejoicing in ABS-CBN’s shutdown and praising the 70 congressmen who voted yes to deny the network a new franchise.

A viral Tiktoker named Audrey Despues shouldn’t be expecting to get inside the Kuya’s house either as she has also been exposed to be a supporter of the president.

She defended Duterte from his critics in a rap verse.

Presidenteng kay lakas, pagpalain ka ng Diyos,” she rapped in a TikTok video.

The “chinitang rapper ng Cavite” is asking her thousands of fans to continue supporting her so she can turn her life around by becoming a PBB participant, as did most previous participants.

Another pro-ABS-CBN shutdown netizen is a certain Kate Aguilar, who couldn’t hide her excitement after PBB invited her for an audition. The same thing happened, a comment of her bashing ABS-CBN was exposed.

Shortly after the shutdown, Kate posted in a group saying that President Rodrigo Duterte had nothing to do with it and also said that ABS-CBN engages in corrupt practices.

Her comments about ABS-CBN’s bad luck are all over social media.

Kate begged one of the netizens who shared the screenshots to take them down, saying that her account was hacked and that people wouldn’t stop attacking her.

However, not all are apologetic. Arji Maglangit of Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay refused to apologize after his hatred for the network was discovered following his request for people to support him in his journey to Kuya’s house.

“So ibig sabihin Pag DDS ka Bawal ka sumali. Ganun bayun?” he said in a Facebook post.

“E Baka talaga mas ok na nawala talaga network niyo,” he added.

He then gave an update, saying that he likes ABS-CBN’s entertainment programs but has a problem with the way the network reports news.

Out of all the auditionees, only 12 will make it to the final cut.
