Netizen praises taxi driver who returned their cellphone

• A netizen thanked and praised a taxi driver after he returned their phone after accidentally leaving it in the car.
• She then encouraged people to praise the driver if ever they encounter him. 

A netizen from Marikina City shared her experience after someone in their left his/her cellphone inside a taxi on October 30.

Patricia Ellein and her group rode a taxi to take her sibling to a hospital. It wasn’t actually a smooth ride as her nephew was vomiting inside the car. This made them stop the ride and go down to let everything calm down.

“Around 12:00 pm, sumakay kami ng taxi sa may tapat ng Robinson Lamuan, kasi magpapa-ultra sound yung kapatid ko, nataranta kami nun kasi sumusuka si matthew ( yung pamangkin ko) kasi sobrang busog niya, kaya napababa kami kaagad sa may taxi,” Patricia shared.

What they didn’t notice as they went down, they left a cellphone inside the taxi. As soon as they realized the situation, they immediately tried contacting the driver. He may not have picked up the phone, but assuming that the phone was in the backseat, the taxi’s then current passenger immediately answered it. The passenger even offered to alight so that the taxi driver can drive back to where Patricia was to return the gadget.

“Hindi namin namalayan nailapag pala namin yung cellphone kasi sobrang natataranta nga kami so agad-agad kaming naghanap ng mapapaloadan then kinocontact namin yung phone. Ayun nacontact naman namin siya. Yung [sumagot] is yung customer ni kuyang driver. Sobrang bait niya kasi ang kwento ni kuyang driver after nung call binigay daw kaagad sakanya yung cellphone nung customer niya. Tapos ang sabi pa raw ng customer niya is baba nalang raw siya ng taxi para maibalik lang raw yung cellphone sa amin.”

She then thanked and commended the driver for not even thinking twice to drive back to them and return the phone when he had the chance to run away with it.

“Maraming salamat po sainyo sobrang saludo po ako sa katapatan niyo. Sobrang nakakatuwa lang na may ganto pa palang kabait na mga tao, Sa napaka-bait na customer ni kuyang driver. Maraming maraming salamat po sainyo, at kay kuyang driver na naghatid ng cellphone sa amin, Maraming Salamat rin po sainyo. Pagpalain kayo ng Panginoon.”

Patricia then encouraged all future riders of the driver to praise and thank him for his kindness.
