Rejection can be one of the most painful emotional wounds a human being can experience.
Getting ignored after sharing an idea, getting turned down for not being qualified enough, or getting laughed at for revealing your true feelings, all of these instances hurt, but there is just something hard-hitting and different when a man’s marriage proposal s rejected.
This is exactly what happened to an unnamed man in Pagadian City.
Netizen Alvin Sidlao shared a video of a man getting rejected while proposing to someone who appeared to be his long-time lover.
In the 37-second clip, the man is seen on one knee holding out a ring. The woman is staring down at him frozen while holding red balloons.
An entire crowd was watching the proposal with their phones out recording the whole thing.
People can be heard saying “sana all” excitedly. They were expecting that the woman would accept the proposal, but she didn’t. Instead, the woman threwthe balloons at the man and walked away.
The man couldn’t believe what had just happened and just stood there speechless as he wiped his eyes.
People felt the rejection while others just laughed.
