Dingdong Dantes considers himself a lucky guy mainly because he married Marian Rivera.
In an online conference held during the third anniversary of his show Amazing Earth, Dantes said Rivera is already the perfect partner, but his wife’s positive attributes shine even brighter when she became a wife and a mother.
“Masasabi kong napakasuwerte ko na siya talaga ang naging asawa ko kasi talagang ginamit namin itong oras together and we’ve been so busy as individuals for the past siguro ako 20 years, siya siguro 12 years sa pagiging active in show business,” he said.
“Mas lumabas ‘yung pagiging mapangalaga niya, pagiging patient and overall super mom to us and to the kids of course. That’s why masasabi kong sobrang suwerte ko talaga sa kaniya,” he added.
Marian has recently taken a break from social media.
Rivera recently took a break from social media, which he is completely supportive of, despite not knowing the reason.
“I think siya ‘yung pinaka-best na sumagot niyan.“
He only knew that the break is well deserved so they can “take a step back,” “relax,” and “evaluate.”
“Kami as a family, gaya ng sabi ko kanina, maganda rin minsan you take a step back, you relax, you evaluate and ano lang, parang chill ka lang muna.
“Kapag recharged ka na, kapag energized ka na ulit, sabak ka na ulit.
“Minsan kinakailangan talaga ‘yun pampalakas ng katawan, pampalakas ng isip, pampalakas ng kaluluwa.“
During the quarantine period, Dingdong was able to spend more time with his family, especially with his children Zia and Sixto.
“Ito lang talaga ‘yung naging oras namin para ma-enjoy ‘yung company ng bawat isa much more, ma-enjoy ‘yung company ng kids.” he said.
The family is currently on vacation. Fans should expect Marian to share a lot when she comes back.
The couple got introduced to each other on the set of Marimar in 2007. He proposed to her twice, the first in 2012 and the second–two years later.
They tied the knot at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Cubao, Quezon City. The event was dubbed to be the Royal Wedding.
Earlier this year, Dantes was rumored to have cheated on Rivera with Filipino-British actress Lindsay De Vera whom he worked with on the series Alyas Robin Hood. Part of the rumors mentioned that the actor impregnated De Vera, but she has denied it.
