Andrea Torres has renewed her contract with GMA Network. With her upcoming teleserye, Legal Wives, she answered some of the media’s questions regarding her career and personal insight on life.
Andrea admitted that she is very committed to her career at her online media conference and is satisfied with being a Kapuso since 2008. She described the network as “warm” and welcoming while she stated that the contract renewal is timely as 2021 will be a busy year for her career.
“So very happy po ako na Kapuso parin ako, na winelcome nila ako, na ganito yung pag-welcome nila sakin. Napaka warm talaga, di ko inexpect from our bosses. And I think yun naman talaga yung reason kung bakit loyal ako as a Kapuso. Kasi masaya ako dito and nafi-feel ko yung love nila for me,” the star shared.
“Magiging very busy po itong taon na ‘to. And yung mga naka-line up na yun ay mga roles and stories na never ko pang nagawa before.”
Though her schedule will be jam-packed, she clarified that she’s glad to have had the opportunity, and it’s one of her wishes to have as many upcoming projects as she has now.
“Super happy [ko] po kasi busy ngayong year, na hiniling ko rin naman talaga. So na-excite ako sa mga gagawin ko this year.”
What drives her to remain positive? It’s the faith and belief about how the energy you emit will eventually be the one that will come back to you.
“Naniniwala po kasi ako na kung ano yung ilabas mo sa universe. So feeling ko talaga nawowork yun. Na kung magfofocus ako sa bright side ng mga bagay o mas iisipin ko na part to ng bigger plan and papunta [palang] ako sa plan na yun. Kaya sa mag-focus ako sa negative, feeling ko lalo lang magiging negative eh.”
Working at GMA Network also helped her build a stronger mindset as they constantly push her to try new things throughout her career. This is why she learned that challenges might be stepping stones for someone to have more confidence in themselves.
“Minsan kaylangan mo gumawa ng bagay na di kalkulado. Tapos parang may magic na mangyayari na makakatulong sa’yo. Magkakaroon ka lalo ng kumpyansa sa sarili mo na hindi naman pala lahat ng bagay, naaral at alam yung outcome para masabi na magiging successful siya.”
On a lighter note, Andrea happily talked about her love life and her ideal type for relationships. She admitted that she does have her standards, and as much as possible, she wants a relationship that will be long-lasting.
“Feeling ko naman po meron na kong idea [tungkol] sa taong gusto ko. Minsan di mo naman talaga makukuha yung eksaktong tao na nasa isip mo, pero I think meron na kong idea kung anong [tipo] yung magiging perfect partner for me. Panghabang-buhay,” she stated while laughing.
But is she ready to love again? Andrea answered, “Oo naman, open naman. Siyempre dapat may time rin for that, diba? Pag binigay, why not?”
Legal Wives starring Dennis Trillo, Bianca Umali, Alice Dixson, and Andrea will premiere on July 26 on GMA Network’s Telebabad line-up.
