Bea Alonzo is “excited” to tour the GMA Network in order to know more about Kapuso fans.
After GMA Network announced her signing, Alonzo in an online conference thanked the network for giving her this opportunity to “meet new people” and “new friends” as part of her new chapter in life.
“I’m opening another chapter of my life. I just want to share with you how excited I am to do new shows and meet new people, new friends, and this time in GMA. Maraming salamat po,” she said.
When asked what she felt signing with GMA Network, Alonzo said her younger self wouldn’t have expected the move.
“I was very very excited. I was just really happy. Parang 10 years ago never really occurred in me. And now I am entering a new chapter and it feels so good, I feel very empowered.”
“To be honest, it came at the right time. It feels good, it feels right. And when you have that in your heart, parang ang sarap ng pakiramdam,” she added.
Prior to being offered a contract, she had to contemplate a lot of things.
“It took a lot of months. This past year has been challenging for all of us. It gave me a time to think and reflect on the things about my life, what I really want to do, how do I want to move on, and what else do I want to chase when it comes to my dreams.
Becoming a Kapuso was so easy because both parties respected each other.
“Nung dumating yung offer sa akin, I consider it as a big blessing. Parang di siya mabigat na type na negotiation. It was as if there was a respect for each other’s boundaries. It just came naturally and here I am, officially a Kapuso,” she added.
Alonzo also went live on Instagram and revealed that she’d be making appearances on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, Unang Hirit, and Mars Pa More, and All-Out Sundays soon!”
She spent most of her career under Star Magic, ABS-CBN Network’s talent management arm. She became a reliable presence on TV and starred in huge film projects such as It Might Be You, One More Chance, and Four Sisters and a Wedding.
