David Licauco shared what he thinks of bashers and explained why he reacts the way he does over hate messages targeting his acting skills.
In a recent media conference, the young Kapuso said that hate messages do bother him, especially when it’s about his acting, as it is one of the things he worked really hard on in his life.
“Actually naiinis lang saking if may nagba-bash sakin regarding my acting. Kasi pinaghirapan ko yung and siguro sensitive lang ako when it comes to that. Siyempre I love the craft,” he said honestly.
He did admit that he wasn’t as good in acting way back when he was just starting, but, he has proven his skills and made a lot of effort for the craft.
“I know for a fact naman na way back, like the past projects that I did, alam naman natin na di ako magaling or sabihin na nating di ako okay na umarte. But then, you know, I have proven myself naman na siguro and I’ve worked hard the past two years to work on my craft. So ayun, dun lang ako naiinis.”
Licauco then recalled when he let a hater’s comment bother him enough to respond to as he to answered a hater back on Twitter because he got worked up about their comments on his acting.
“Medyo na hurt ako eh so parang sabi ko ‘g*go ‘to ah.’ Pinatulan ko sa Twitter kasi, wala lang. Dami niyang alam sa mundo eh. Paturo nga ng acting.”
He was talking about when he told a netizen that he was just a rookie before, and it’s normal that the performance of someone as young is not immediately exceptional.
Maintaining the light atmosphere in his reply, he suggested that the netizen watch his TV series Heartful Cafe and give him some feedback.
Lol new actor lang kasi naman talaga ako dati, so I guess normal lang na hindi agad magaling. But I have worked hard to improve. Nuod ka ng #HeartfulCafe & let me me know if you if it’s still bad. Seems like you are so gooood!
