LJ Reyes is delighted that her son’s relationship with ex-boyfriend Paulo Avelino is doing fantastic.
In an online conference held shortly after her contract renewal with GMA Network, Reyes said she is just happy that her son Ethan Akio “Aki” Reyes is able to speak with his father despite the pandemic causing a lot of problems.
“Nakakapagusap naman sila. Happy ako na in the middle of the pandemic they were able to talk.” she revealed while stuttering.
Aki and Avelino are also able to communicate through playing online games.
“Mas nag coconnect sila sa gaming. Ok naman sila. Yung huling usap nila yung malapit na mag birthday si Aki.” she added.
However, she knows nothing about what Paulo is up to these days and doesn’t want him to feel pressured about his relationship with Aki.
“Busy ‘ata siya. Sa akin nakatira si Aki eh. Let’s not put pressure na rin kay Pau.
“Pandemic din naman. Baka meron siyang mga concerns sa personal life niya.
Paulo communicates with his son “now and then” but has to notify LJ first before doing so.
Avelino and Reyes broke up in 2013, ending their 4-year relationship. According to Reyes, she made a mistake in trusting her ex when he promised they’d have a beautiful family. But despite their failed relationship, Reyes said Avelino has always been there for their son.
Reyes has no upcoming projects yet and will focus more on guesting.
