ABS-CBN airing Rep. Rodante Marcoleta’s political ad just shows how unbiased the network is.
Marcoleta was one of the most prominent congressmen who opposed granting the network a franchise renewal.
Ever since being off the air, ABS-CBN has lost billions in revenue and was forced to lay off nearly 12,000 employees.
Recently, he caught viewers by surprise when his ad aired on the network.
Some called him shameless, while others praised ABS-CBN for remaining professional despite what he put the network through.
At the end of the day, the network did what it was supposed to and made revenue.
Its a win situation to ABS.
1. Thats revenue.
2. Its spreading news that a Marcoleta, who pushed for non renewal of franchise, has the audacity to use their platform. Its a total loss for Marcoleta. Tho, this might give him personal satisfaction. 🙄 https://t.co/9goS97Khuw

It also shows that people like Marcoleta are aware that no other network can match ABS-CBN’s audience.
It only shows the network that no franchise have the big audience.. Wake up Cayetano,Marcoleta your thoughts!

Im not mad. As you've said, it proves something, when the likes of Marcoleta who lobbied against the franchise renewal of abs-cbn to actually place an Ad in abs meant the network is still relevant.
That reply was meant for lightbringer.

I think its nor abs fault to accept the ad..ita actually speaks volume of marcoleta's conviction. If he really believed abscbn violated laws (e.g. not paying taxes) and should be punished, he shouldnt have placed ads.

ABS-CBN needs money, Marcoleta has it.
And this proves that ABS-CBN is fair, unlike what was purported. https://t.co/N5WeC9S6cJ— 🍊 #PrinciplesMatter (@aesyeo_) November 24, 2021

Marcoleta was one of the 70 representatives who voted to shut ABS-CBN down.
One of his arguments in denying the franchise renewal was that he felt the network was too “entitled.”
“It’s too late now. Hinihintay ko lang sanang magpakababa sila eh.
“They had that sense of entitlement,” he said last year.
Various government agencies said the network violated nothing yet this wasn’t enough to keep them on air.
Marcoleta said.
Most recently, he opposed discussing the franchise renewal once more.
Marcoleta is gunning for a Senate seat in next year’s elections.
