MOA restaurant bars Filipino child but welcomes young Chinese girl and family

When they asked why the girl was allowed, the waiters said because her family was Chinese

A Filipino couple felt discriminated against after a restaurant didn’t allow them in because they were with children but took in a Chinese family with a child.

TikTok user @eufam uploaded a video sharing their terrible experience at a restaurant in the Mall of Asia.

Apparently, the staff did not welcome them in because they had with them a child, which is a policy some businesses have because of COVID-19 health restrictions.

However, they were surprised to see a young girl eating happily with adults.

When they asked why the girl was allowed, the waiters said because her family was Chinese.

“First ko makaranas ng discrimination in my own country,” the woman in the video said.

“Diba sobrang racist?” the man added.

They both said the waiters were very kind but exempting the Chinese from strict policies was unacceptable.
