LOOK: Bongbong Marcos’ ‘alamano’ makes it to Urban Dictionary

Some said that maybe it originated from Ilocos Norte, Marcos’ home region, while others argued that it has Spanish roots which means “to hold hands”

The word “alamano” has finally made it to the Urban Dictionary.

Presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos recently popularized it. In a speech he delivered in January, Marcos visibly lost his train of thought and constantly stuttered. Suddenly, alamano came out of his mouth, prompting many to wonder what the word meant.

Some said it originated from Ilocos Norte, Marcos’ home region. While others argued that it has Spanish roots, which means “to hold hands.”

Now, the argument has been laid to rest as the Urban Dictionary has recognized the term. It was given nearly a dozen definitions, but the one that stood out was “The act of snorting cocaine and other substances that take one to a different dimension where one can communicate with aliens and Celestials.”

Alamano was funny enough for it to become a meme. People are even jokingly in conversations to mock Marcos’s perceived high IQ.

Trolls and critics blast Vice President Leni Robredo for allegedly being incoherent, but Marcos is the one who is more familiar with the behavior.

Marcos has had a lot of moments where he left people wondering what he was trying to explain. He had one at the SMNI Presidential Debates.

Alamano’s definitions stem from the Marcos family stealing billions from the country and the alleged use of cocaine by the dictator’s son. Despite the numerous gaffs committed and lies spewed by the former senator’s team, Marcos supporters still believe that their candidate is best for the presidency.
