A critic of presidential aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. has revealed that two Antique top officials have been giving local leaders who support Vice President Leni Robredo a hard time.
Gideon Javier, an opinionated project manager, wrote a long post on Facebook detailing how two ‘old’ politicians are doing everything to see Marcos win the province come May.
“I have received word that the two top politicians in our province have been berating, pressuring, and maltreating government officials who they catch wearing pink,” he wrote.
Marcos Jr’s supposed rally in Antique was canceled earlier due to protests from the locals.
“The caravan-cum-rally which was set for February 24, by the BBM-Sara UniTeam in Binirayan Sports Complex, San Jose De Buenavista in the province of Antique was not canceled. It was reset to another date,” Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Marcos Jr’s spokesman, said in a statement.
“We decided to adjust our schedule to a later date in the spirit of peace and unity,” he added.
Javier advised the two intimidators to promote Marcos Jr’ accomplishments instead of forcing other officials to back the dictator’s son.
“If the lolas actually had tried to convince rather than terrorize, they would have to cite Marcos Jr’s accomplishments. Since he is past retirement age, Marcos Jr’s track record should be at pencils down, pass your paper status already,” he said.
Marcos Jr’s barely has any achievements to brag about.
One of his political ads used the windmills in Ilocos which he himself claimed was a private job.
“The best that he can do is point to the windmills in Ilocos. The Ilocos site was identified by the Department of Energy along with a lot of other sites in the country. The windmills are owned by Ayala Corp.”
Despite not naming anyone, people knew Javier was referring to Antique Rep. Loren Legarda and Governor Rhodora Cadiao.
Legarda reportedly blocked municipal mayors in Antique from attending Robredo’s rally.
After learning the attempt, comedian Ogie Diaz said he lost all respect had for the congresswoman.
Fellow comedian John Lapus also doesn’t respect Legarda. He noted how Legarda became a big name because of her career at ABS-CBN. However, she abstained from voting during the Congress hearing of ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal.
Javier continued informing his followers about the “Golden Era” which made the country suffer more than ever before.
“Had we been ruled by the next worst leaders in Southeast Asia, the minimum wage might have been 26,000 pesos per month rather than 14,000. Now, to bring back his golden age, Marcos Jr. even has assembled the junior Romualdezes as his would-be cabinet.
“The lolas might remember that the Romualdezes caused many good employers to go under,” he wrote.
