Anthony Taberna, on April 26, falsely claimed that Vice President Leni Robredo’s daughter Aika orchestrated the entire deep-faked sex video allegedly implicating her.
In a video posted by Robin Sweet Showbiz on YouTube, Taberna noted that the links containing the video didn’t include Aika and were harmful to any devices that get to open it.
He proceeded to say that the Vice President should apologize for urging her supporters to condemn whoever created the videos since they didn’t contain any content.
Netizens were astounded by the broadcaster’s take on the issue.
One of them is Ogie Diaz, who still considers Taberna–as a friend.

Some found it disturbing that Taberna would go that route given that his own daughter is suffering from leukemia.

Robredo’s camp is currently working on taking legal actions against those responsible for the videos.
The NBI Cybercrime Division already received a letter of request from Robredo’s lawyers to authenticate 60 websites that contain the videos.
Atty. Barry Gutierrez, Robredo’s spokesperson called the links “malicious fabrication.”
