Joining fellow OPM band frontmen Ely Buendia of Eraserheads, Jugs Jugueta of Itchyworms, Mark Escueta of Rivermaya, Miggy Chavez of Chicosci, and Yael Yuzon of Spongecola, among others, Callalily’s Kean Cipriano hopped on the Pink bandwagon, by showing up for Leni-Kiko’s grand rally in Rizal on April 5.
“Kung si leni ang presidente n’yo, handa ba kayong tumalon?! Kung si Kiko ang bise-presidente n’yo, handa ba kayong tumalon?! (If Leni is your president, are you prepared to jump? If Kiko is your vice-president, are you prepared to jump?!” he asked in a tone that begs for affirmation.
The Leni-Kiko grand rally in the province of Rizal is dubbed as ‘Leniwanag ng Silangan’, which marked Cipriano’s first appearance in a Kakampink event.
“Gusto kong sabihin sa inyong lahat na ngayon lang ulit ako nakatuntong sa harap ng maraming tao. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nararamdaman ko…gusto ko bang umiyak, gusto ko bang sumigaw? KGusto ko bang magwala? Dahil noong nakita ko kayong lahat, napuno ‘yung puso ko ng pag-asa… at isang malaking karangalan na tumugtog para sa susunod na presidente ng Pilipinas (I just want to say that it is my first time in a very long while, to perform again in front of a massive crowd. I don’t know what to feel…should I cry, shout, or go crazy? Because when I saw all of you, my heart suddenly brimmed with hope…and it’s just a huge honor to perform for the next Philippine president),” he declared in a heartfelt adlib during his performance.
On twitter, Cipriano expressed his gratitude to those who appreciated his performance and presence at the event.
“Salamat sa inyong lahat. Rosas ang kulay ang bukas (Thanks to all of you! Pink is the color of tomorrow),” he tweeted.

According to local organizers, more than 43,000 Kakampinks were present during Leni Robredo’s speech, making the event extra-ordinary as people still stayed despite the bad weather.
Cipriano and his band weren’t the only OPM bands who performed that day, as popular ‘hugot’ band–The Juans served the closing performance of the event.
