As election day is nearing, more fake stories targeting Vice President Leni Robredo have surfaced.
A Bryan Young made a false claim on facebook said that during Robredo’s time as the country’s drug czar, she requested a certain amount to run a drug rehabilitation program, but later tossed out the idea because it can’t earn a “kickback.”
“Pera-pera lang, madame? Whatever happened to your efforts? Ayaw niyo ng libre kasi? Maliit lang makukua niyo sa budget? Same mentality. Kickback,” wrote Young, adding that this is the main reason why Robredo doesn’t have his vote.
Nagsimula na ang mass black propaganda ng mga BeybiEmz. Eto taga Tacloban. Hi Bryan Young I hope you know what you’re getting into. Sa storyline pa lang maling mali na, wala ngang budget ang OVP eh.🙄 pic.twitter.com/4kBVa5cMnn

The claim is false.
Robredo did push for improved rehabilitation but never asked for funding after Pres. Rodrigo Duterte appointed her co-chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee Against Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
She got fired after nearly three weeks for being “untrustworthy.”
“Walang katotohanan ang kumakalat na facebook post kung saan humihingi ang Office of the Vice President ng pondo para sa isang programa na makakatulong sa drug rehabilitation,” said Robredo on facebook.
Young said that the Office of The Vice President (OVP) rejected it and “gave someone (else) the budget of P21 million, which never materialized.”
He has deactivated once but has activated again.
“Hindi magagawa ng (aming) tanggapan at lalong wala tayong intensyon na gawin ang mga akusasyong nakapaloob sa post na ito,” the vice president added.
The Commission on Audit (COA) gave the OVP the highest audit rating for three consecutive years. Robredo remains the number one victim of disinformation in the 2022 elections.
