Netizens defend Dina Bonnevie after Alex Gonzaga speaks about “matandang artista” who traumatized her

Despite not dropping any names, listeners were convinced she was referring to Bonnevie.

Netizens came to the defense of veteran actress Dina Bonnevie after Alex Gonzaga once again talked about an actress that had her shaken early in her career.

Gonzaga said this “matandang artista” had her traumatized when she screamed at her “from head to foot” while they were shooting for a TV series.

“So there was a time, when I was in early 20s, mag-21 ako, I was so traumatized, pinagsisigawan ako ng isang artistang matanda… pinagsisigawan niya talaga ako from head to foot, everything, kasi akala niya galing ako sa bahay late lang ako, hindi niya alam na galing ako sa work kasi siguro hindi sinabi sa kaniya.” Gonzaga said.

And then after how many years, she’s pointing me as the bad guy, na deserve ko…may mga tao na who did you wrong, or who traumatized you, and then you don’t even talk about it, parang you would just let it be, and then pag sila pa ang nagkuwento, sila pa yung mabait, ikaw pa yung masama, parang ibang-iba na yung kuwento,” she added.

Despite not dropping any names, listeners were convinced she was referring to Bonnevie. In a 2018 interview, Bonnevie said she disliked actors who feel like they’re above others. She said that she gave a co-worker of hers “hell” because that person was so unprofessional.

The veteran actress expressed, “Talagang sinabihan ko siya, ‘Who do you think you are? Are you famous? Who are you? What name have you made? Have you carved your name in stone in showbiz? Your call is at 9 o’clock and you come down from your van at 12 o’clock na naka-pajama? Really?”

She said that even her other co-workers were pushing her to lecture this young actress.

This young actress reportedly threatened to tell her mom about the situation but Bonnevie welcomed it.

Netizens believe Bonnevie’s and Gonzaga’s respective stories corroborate. Many decided to defend the older actress, saying that Gonzaga was probably a “spoiled brat”.

Netizens also didn’t like it when Gonzaga referred to Bonnevie as an “old” actress.

Grabe ka alex. The fact na tinawag mo syang ‘matandang artista’ only proves how rude you are. Own up to your mistake kung late ka own up to it. Wag kana kumuha ng sympathy kasi tinalakan ka. Understand na nainconvenience mo sila. Ang brat mo,” a netizen commented.

One netizen said Gonzaga will never be better than her sister Toni.
