Entertainment reporter/vlogger/talent manager Ogie Diaz recently revealed that the Divine Geronimo hasn’t been too kind to her staff.
Divine Geronimo, who runs multiple businesses, is the controversial mother of famous performer/actress Sarah Geronimo Guidicelli.
Diaz and co-host Loi Villarama shared a conversation they had with Geronimo’s employee in the latest episode of their YouTube show Showbiz Update.
According to the employee, Geronimo hasn’t been paying him on time. He added that the pop star’s mother has required every employee to schedule an appointment to get their belongings in the office.
Diaz challenged Divine Geronimo to address the issue as the employee could just be making the story up.
Apparently, the unnamed employee has already filed a case against Geronimo under the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC).
Diaz also shared a screenshot of the “Notice of Conference” addressed to John Grasher Merchandising Inc., the business owned by Divine Geronimo. She was “ordered” to attend the conciliation conference set for January 5th and 12th, 2023.
According to Loi Villarama (referring to Geronimo’s former employee), “Sabi niya, desidido siyang ilaban ito hanggang huli kasi kung hindi niya ito gagawin, baka maulit at maulit lang daw do’n sa mga current at future pang empleyado.”
The complainant was a former family driver for the Geronimos who resigned and subsequently requested a second chance at employment, which the family allegedly granted.
Five months after moving back in with the Geronimo family, the complainant allegedly quit his job without giving proper notice, saying he would return later to retrieve his belongings. The family claims that the former driver has a history of infractions.
Also, Geronimo’s employees disproved the complainant’s claim that Geronimo withheld his final paycheck and belongings. They said that Geronimo only asked the complainant to pick up his stuff in person because he still owed money.
Netizens are still waiting for Divine Geronimo to speak on the accusations against her.
