Filipino actress Jane Oineza and her real-life partner, actor RK Bagatsing, star in an upcoming MAVX Productions film, which tackles the very controversial practice of “swinging” in a relationship.
Real-life sweethearts, RK Bagatsing and Jane Oineza, are among the lucky pairs, who are signing on the first set of film projects under the Star Magic x MAVX Productions collaboration, this year. Tackling the different complexities of love, the three films under the project are said to deal with various sensitive issues in a relationship. They reveal the world’s unpleasant and beautiful facets.
In the case of Swing, the film starring Bagatsing and Oineza, the topic is almost taboo. This is because it deals with “swinging”, or having multiple sexual partners in a relationship. One of the scenes in the film is Oineza catching Bagatsing having sex with another girl. The trailer then showed that the main couple eventually agreed to have an open sexual relationship, and tried having intimate affairs with different partners. Last December 6, she shared her thoughts on whether she would be okay with putting herself through the same process.
“I think it depends naman sa usapan n’yo ‘din as a couple. Like if you have an agreement na talagang you can’t handle that, or hanggang dito lang ako, hindi ko kaya, then it’s a deal breaker,” Oineza shared.
She then clarified, that while personally, she is open to the idea, she emphasized that she is really “madamot” when it comes to sharing her loved ones, especially RK.
As for Bagatsing, he understood the elusiveness of the topic among Filipino discussions but highlighted the fact that such a setup in a relationship, exists and actually works for some.
The actor shared, “I think what’s very interesting is that ito ‘yung bago sa atin ;eh. It doesn’t mean hindi nagwowork sa atin ‘to, hindi na rin nagwowork sa iba….parang case-to-case basis. ‘Yun ‘yung tugma sa kung anong preference nila. I guess it really depends on ano nga bang usapan niyo.”
‘Swing’, alongside the other movies under the partnership, is expected to hit cinemas sometime this year.
