A video shared by a TikTok user is currently trending on social media after a woman was involved in an accident at a resort in Zambales on January 2nd.
It shows the terrible fate of a woman whose knee bone was broken after a strong wave swept away her companion and accidentally struck her entire body. This resulted in injury.
Catcat Melendez, the uploader, stated that there appeared to be signs that the family outing should not continue. Her uncle and aunt visited the Philippines during which some horrible things happened.
She said that on the first day of their stay in the Philippines, her cousin, the child of her aunt who was involved in the accident, was food poisoned due to eating expired, undercooked sausage.
She shared that they initially canceled the plan to go to Vigan, Ilocos Sur because her cousin was feeling unwell. After two days, they decided to proceed with the Vigan trip but they were unable to rent a van.
Because they thought the time was wasted, the family decided to proceed with the outing at a beach resort in Zambales.
Melendez narrated, “Then they decided to go to Zambales with the whole fam nalang since eto na ang last trip nila before heading to the U.S and this happened nga…”
However, emergency personnel took too long to arrive and a nurse and a doctor from another villa decided to help them.

She added, “The worst part is yung resort yung tumatawag ng ambulance walang sumasagot and it took an hour bago dumating buti may doctor at nurse na nag vacation sa kabilang villa nag-bigay ng first aid…pagdating sa hospital wala daw available na doctor so ang ending ililipat sa Subic Hospital, I believe tertiary hospital na yun kaya hoping madaming doctor ang tutulong pero ang layo pa ng byahe.”
Unfortunately, there was still no doctor on duty, and the only thing that could be done that day was an X-ray. The results showed broken bones, which required surgery. The situation worsened and the family decided to take their aunt home. On their way home, the car broke down due to overheating. They used all their means to call for help. Upon reaching home, the ambulance was already there.

She continued, “Dumiretso kami sa St. Raphael which is sa kanto lang namin, walking distance kaso sabi walang vacant room dahil puno ng Dengue cases at kaka-out lang sa duty ng OPD doctor.”

Melendez said that because of the long queue, they had to wait for the next day to find out if they could fly out or stay for the surgery. The family was greatly grateful to the doctor and nurse who helped them.
