Netizens blast AiAi delas Alas for “sorry not sorry” apology for Joy Belmonte parody

She clarified that she made the parody video during the height of the election campaign because it was her job as an actress.

Kapuso actress and comedian AiAi delas Alas revisited the issue of her being declared “persona non grata” in Quezon City in June 2022.

In an interview on ‘Fast Talk’ with Boy Abunda, they discussed the matter again.

However, she clarified that she made the parody video during the height of the election campaign because it was her job as an actress.

She also admitted to editing some parts of the video because she knew it could hurt Quezon City mayor Joy Belmonte.

She said she asked to have some parts edited because she thought it might offend Mayor Belmonte.

Delas Alas also apologized on air for offending the mayor, but some netizens blasted delas Alas for not owning up to her doings.

However, she was surprised to see Filipino film director, screenwriter, and producer Darryl Yap and Mayor Belmonte make amends in no time.

Delas Alas revealed, “Biglang bati na sila ni Direk, tapos kami di kami bati. Para akong naiwan sa ere. Bakit kayo bati?

In the end, the actress said she did not mean to hurt anyone hence her apology.
