Alfred Vargas highlights his support for the LGBTQIA+ community!

He also encouraged people struggling with their identity to find themselves.

On February 25, actor-politician Alfred Vargas highlighted his support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

At the media conference for AraBella, Vargas noted that he supported the SOGIE Bill while he was in Congress.

“Well ako, noong Congressman pa ako, isa ako sa mga naghain ng SOGIE Bill, so we’re always for equality. Tapos I believe in the creativity, sa lahat ng kakayahan, capability.”

He then reacted to a viral Tiktok video of the LGBTQIA+ content creator @mccartneycale, citing that Vargas was his ‘awakening.’

“And noong napanood ko ‘yung Tiktok Video, nakita ko yung honesty, naramdaman ko. Kasi, one day na lang paggising ko ang daming nag-forward sa akin tapos pinanood ko siya. Tapos inexpress ko lang ‘yung happiness ko na nakatulong ako sa awakening noong Tiktoker na ‘yun.”

As of this writing, the Tiktok Video currently has 348 thousand views on the social media platform.

“And I hope ma-enganyo rin ‘yung iba na to really find themselves, wag silang mawawalan ng pag-asa and malaman nila na di sila nag-iisa, may mga taong nagsu-suporta rin sa kanila.”

As for their series, AraBella, it stars Althea Ablan, Shayne Sava, and Camille Prats.

Vargas also joins the cast of the Kapuso series with Abdul Raman, Saviour Ramos, Klea Pineda, Mitzi Josh, Faye Lorenzo, Wendell Ramos, and Nova Villa.
