The single dad who made viral celebrating his son’s achievement just before the 2020-2021 Bar Exam results has even more reason to celebrate.
His daughter also passed the 2022 Bar Exam, making both of his children lawyers.
In a 2022 viral photo, Renato Meniado Baysa climbed a tree to hang a congratulatory banner for his son, Atty. Lynk Juren Baysa.
He climbed the tree again to display another banner honoring his daughter, Atty. Maiko Kaye Baysa passed the 2022 Bar Examination as announced by the Supreme Court on Friday, April 14. The proud single father expressed his gratitude for providing two lawyers for his family on the banner.

“From single parent, Daddy: Mga bahagi na lang tayo ng isang kwento balang araw. Tulad ng pagsakripisyo at paghubog ko nang mabuti sa aking mga anak. Kahapon ay isang panaginip at pangarap lamang, paggising ko kanina totoo na pala. Thank you, Lord,” he wrote.
His daughter earned her law degree from Arellano University School of Law and was among the 3,992 2022 Bar Exam passers. The proud father was an undocumented overseas Filipino worker in Japan.
After saving enough money, he returned to the Philippines and bought a Jeep.
This became their source of income, allowing him to send his three children to school. Their story made it viral on TikTok, with over 1.4 million views.
The youngest sibling, John, thanked everyone for congratulating his sister and brother.
“We really appreciate your post, and we are very thankful to all the people who congratulated us,” he wrote.
