A popular vlogger named ‘Miss Ginbilog’ hosted a birthday party that garnered various reactions after the food got placed in a casket.
The unique set-up of the food caught the attention of the guests.
The coffin was decorated with flowers and had a tarpaulin with the words “Hindi pa p@tay, malapit nang maubos ang atay kakatagay!”
In the middle of the video, the food got placed one by one in the coffin, while the individuals responsible for putting the food wore clothes with “Glory to God” printed on them.
@missginbilog DIKO ALAM KUNG KAKAIN BAKO O IIYAAK HAHAHAHA #missginbilog
“Mukhang hindi mauubos yung handa ko kahit marami akong bisita,” the vlogger joked.
Some netizens quickly responded that it was inappropriate and disrespectful, while others considered it creative and thrilling.
However, using a coffin during events isn’t new to Filipinos.
A funeral parlor proprietor in North Cotabato did something similar by turning a casket into a BBQ grill.
Vincent Doletin, the businessman, shared images and a video of his remarkable work on Facebook.
He stated that the idea occurred to him upon watching the famous “coffin dance meme” during the pandemic.
He shared that it took him 48 hours to modify the casket into a barbecue grill masterpiece.
