In AFP photos, Karla Estrada apologized for using the NPA anthem as background music

She showcased the song ‘Ang Bagong Hukbong Bayan’ along with several photos of herself wearing the Army reservist uniform and alongside some AFP officers.

Karla Estrada has apologized for using a controversial song as background music in one of her Instagram Reels photos depicting her as a “reservist” in the Philippine Army.

The song turned out to be the music anthem of the rebel group New People’s Army (NPA).

She showcased the song ‘Ang Bagong Hukbong Bayan’ along with several photos of herself wearing the Army reservist uniform and alongside some AFP officers.

Estrada has since deleted the photos, but netizens have continued to bash the actress.

Estrada has apologized.

She also clarified that her intention in joining the Philippine Army was to further serve the country.

Salamat po,” she added.

Estrada is the new host of the on-air program “Face 2 Face” in Barangay Hall. Estrada aims to resolve and reconcile conflicts among family members, friends, partners, and neighbors who have unresolved issues within the barangay.
