Mark Anthony Lacerna, a promodiser who gained popularity online after netizens noticed his resemblance to Stell, a member of SB19 and coach on The Voice Generations, has revealed that he was happy to have met his idol.
On June 12, a photo of Mark posing beside groceries adorned with the Philippine flag quickly garnered thousands of likes and comments.
He was recently featured on ‘Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.’
“Nakiuso lang kami sa mga nakikita namin sa Facebook, na gumagawa ng mga ganung flag. Unang comment du’n may nagsabi na ‘Uy si Stell ‘to ah!” Mark said.
Meanwhile, during the early days of the now-popular Ppop boy band SB19, Stell shared that he had experienced receiving hurtful words due to his physical appearance.
“Pinakanati-trigger lang po talaga siguro ako kapag lagi nila akong inaatake when it comes to visual po. Lagi nilang sinasabi ‘Paano ka napunta sa grupo na ‘yan kasi ang pangit mo naman?'” Stell previously said.
Mark then said he went through a similar experience.
“Immune na ako riyan. ‘Lampa, payatot, sinabihan ako na ‘Ang pangit, pangit mo.'”
Mark is thankful that his photo went viral because it boosted his self-esteem.
“Idolo ko na talaga siya, si Stell,” he revealed, adding that he saw his idol once at a show.
“Ang pogi pala ng kambal ko. Kamukhang-kamukha ko talaga. Ang saya, sobrang saya,” he said.
