TVJ or the collective name for Tito, Vic, and Joey has revealed the possible titles for their upcoming show on TV5.
Facing the media on June 20, the trio spoke on who actually owns the name ‘Eat Bulaga.’
Joey de Leon initially answered with a joke.
“Ito ang unang palabas na napakaraming title. Iba sa Lunes, iba sa Martes. Pero ang naisip namin IT-IT. Hindi yan bastos. Meaning n’yan ‘Isang Thousand Isang Tuwa,” he said.
Meanwhile, Tito Sotto gave a more straightforward answer.
“Yung copyright kasi nagaganap yan the moment na ma-conceive ang idea. Kaya yang title na ‘Eat Bulaga’ kay Joey de Leon yan. Naiisip din namin E.A.T. meaning ‘Eto Ang Totoo,’” he revealed.
Vic Sotto, who was visibly emotional, talked about how long the program ran under the trio.
“Biruin mo, ako nga kapag hindi ako nakapasok sa isang araw parang nanghihina ako eh. Tapos yung title namin basta basta na lang kukunin ng kung sino sino,” he said.
Sotto also confirmed that the pilot episode will be filmed in a studio and not inside the Philippine Arena.
“Dito muna kami sa TV5 studios, we want to start humble,” he added.
Vic and Joey were moved to tears as they expressed their gratitude to the TV5 management for accepting them along with the ‘Legit Dabarkads,’ namely Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Allan K, Ryan Agoncillo, Maine Mendoza, Carren Eistrup, and Ryzza Mae Dizon who all joined in answering the media questions.
