Vice Ganda, a well-known host and blockbuster movie star, recently became the new face of an online shopping app.
He playfully tweeted, “Nakapag reinstall na ba lahat?”
Vice Ganda was warmly welcomed as the brand’s newest endorser on August 23 during a grand event held at Shopee Philippines HQ in Ortigas, Pasig City.

Notably, the shopping app had announced Toni Gonzaga as its new endorser late last year. However, the move triggered controversy due to Toni Gonzaga’s public support for Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s presidential campaign.
This led to some social media users deleting the app in protest, resulting in hashtags like #ByeShopee and #BoycottShopee trending on Twitter Philippines.
In contrast, Vice Ganda is a known supporter of the Kakampink political alliance and endorsed Atty. Leni Robredo in the last election.
