Priscilla Meirelles has voiced her concern about the surging prices of grocery items in the Philippines.
She shared her apprehension while revealing her recent grocery haul through her Instagram Stories on August 23.
Meirelles expressed that there was a time when her budget allowed her to fill two overflowing grocery carts.
However, her most recent shopping trip yielded considerably less for the same amount of money.
In her caption, she emphasized, “There was a time I would go to the grocery and what I just spent today would result in two overflowing grocery carts. Today, that’s the best I can get.”
“The price of grocery items is skyrocketing in this country and that’s very concerning,” she wrote.
To gauge her followers’ opinions, Meirelles conducted a survey, asking whether they agreed or disagreed with her concerns.
As of the latest tally, 92% of respondents agreed with her, while 8% disagreed.
Prior to this, Meirelles made headlines when she candidly discussed marital problems with actor John Estrada. However, the couple has since reconciled and resolved their issues. They have an 11-year-old daughter named Anechka.
