In a recent conversation with reporters at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special, Kapamilya actress Andrea Brillantes shared her reflections on the past year and her hopes for the upcoming 2024.
The ‘Senior High’ star expressed her desire for healing and growth as she plans to spend quality time with her family during the holiday season.
Brillantes, who has been busy with various TV and digital projects, revealed her intention to conclude 2023 by cherishing moments with her family. She emphasized her happiness, citing the importance of having a healthy and well-connected family unit.
As part of her holiday plans, Brillantes disclosed her Christmas wish—to learn how to drive, adding a personal touch to her festive celebrations.
“I’m going to wrap it (2023) by spending time with my family. ‘Di pa ako nakakapag-spend ng time sa kanila kasi I’ve been busy with work and sa iba na kasi ako nakatira,” Brillantes shared with reporters. “Masaya naman na po kasi ako kasi healthy family ko, maayos naman kami. Siguro Christmas wish ko na lang, matuto nang mag-drive.”
Looking ahead to the new year, the actress expressed her desire for a “fresh” start, highlighting her intention to carry forward the lessons learned in 2023. She conveyed her optimism for 2024, emphasizing a sense of renewal and new beginnings.
“I’m wrapping it up, masaya and alam mo ‘yun, lahat ng natutunan ko dadalhin ko sa 2024. Bubuksan ko ‘yung 2024 na fresh, bago,” she stated. “Hindi na kasi ako masyadong nag-e-expect. Basta growth lang, healing, mas maging maayos lang.”
Remaining grounded and realistic, Brillantes mentioned that she isn’t setting overly high expectations for the future. Instead, her main aspirations for the new year center around personal growth and healing, aiming for a more balanced and harmonious life.
Throughout the year, Brillantes has been involved in various controversies, particularly concerning her love life. These include her publicized breakup with Ricci Rivero and her connection to the separation of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo—an aspect of her personal life that she has chosen to keep private.
