Senator Sherwin Gatchalian has broken his silence on the recent controversies involving his girlfriend, actress and beauty queen Bianca Manalo.
The issues surfaced when alleged private conversations between Manalo and actor Rob Gomez were leaked on social media.
In a brief statement posted on his personal Instagram page on December 23, Gatchalian expressed support for Manalo and emphasized their shared values and principles.
He posted a photo featuring two framed pictures of them, a gift from fellow senator Sonny Angara and his wife.
“Bianca and I share the same values and principles in life. No fake news will divide us apart,” the senator stated in his post.
This comes after the leaked conversations between Manalo and Gomez, co-stars in the GMA TV series ‘Magandang Dilag,’sparked discussions and speculations.
Manalo explained that the messages were taken out of context, with certain parts deleted to create misleading insinuations. She maintained that she was meeting Gomez to receive a Christmas gift.
In a previous post, Gatchalian also shared his love for their pet dogs, who are currently with their house helper while Manalo is in Japan with her family. The senator’s decision to address the issue publicly signals his stance on the matter, supporting his girlfriend amid the circulating controversies.
The leaked conversations also included interactions between Gomez and actress-beauty queen Herlene Budol, containing remarks suggesting a potential romantic relationship.
Budol has since spoken out against what she described as “made-up issues” surrounding her. The controversies have led to discussions about privacy, trust, and the impact of leaked conversations in the digital age.
