Comedian Alex Gonzaga’s attempt at humor fell flat as Senator Loren Legarda didn’t find her joke amusing during their recent interaction.
In a video shared on Alex Gonzaga’s Instagram, the two were engaged in a conversation in front of a sizable Christmas tree.
Alex, in a playful manner, questioned Legarda about why it’s referred to as a Christmas tree when there’s only one.
Legarda, looking perplexed, responded with a question, “Eh bakit Christmas?”
Alex then quipped, “‘Di ba dapat Christmas one lang?”
Upon hearing the punchline, Legarda winced and exclaimed, “Nakakainis, nakakainis, nakakainis! Naka-video pa naman siya.”
Despite Alex’s laughter at her own joke, Legarda didn’t appear to appreciate the humor and swiftly changed the topic, avoiding further comedic banter.
In the caption accompanying the video, Alex described the lighthearted moment, writing, “When you talk nonsense to the smartest person you know. Love you, lods @iamlorenlegarda.”
Although Legarda didn’t react positively to the joke, she responded good-naturedly, saying, “This child,” along with a laughing emoji.
