For the first time, Kapamilya young actress Andrea Brillantes has made her mark on the prestigious ‘100 Most Beautiful Faces’ list by TC Candler, securing the 16th spot in the 2023 rankings. She stands out as the sole Filipina within the Top 20.
Outshining other Filipina celebrities who have been frequent entries in the list, the rankings of other notable personalities are as follows:
- Actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi – 21st place
- Actress Liza Soberano – 28th place
- Actress Janine Gutierrez – 45th place
- Actress Belle Mariano – 71st place
Liza Soberano holds the record for the longest streak on the list, marking her ninth consecutive appearance. In the previous year, she secured the 23rd spot, ranking 18th in 2021, and claiming the top spot in 2017.
Ivana Alawi has been featured four times, ranking sixth last year, fourth in 2021, and 11th in 2020.
Meanwhile, from her second-place ranking last year, Nancy McDonnie of the K-Pop girl group Momoland has been crowned the ‘Most Beautiful Face of 2023.’ She is followed by Russian model Dasha Taran and TWICE member Sana in second and third place, respectively.
Four male Filipino personalities made it to the ‘100 Most Handsome Faces of 2023,’ including two members of the Pinoy pop sensation SB19! Ken and Josh secured the 34th and 71st places, respectively. Additionally, two members of the P-Pop boy group Horizon, Kyler and Reyster, claimed the 27th and 58th spots.
American-French actor Timothée Chalamet clinched the top spot for the ‘100 Most Handsome Faces of 2023.’
TC Candler emphasizes that while aesthetic perfection is a criterion, other qualities such as grace, elegance, originality, daring, passion, class, poise, joy, promise, and hope are also considered in evaluating a beautiful face. The list is not a popularity contest and is not limited to specific countries; it aims to broaden public opinion rather than merely reflecting it.
The top 100 faces were meticulously selected from a vast pool of over 300,000 celebrities globally. Securing the No. 1 spot this year is K-pop star Nancy McDonie, with Russian model Dasha Taran at No. 2 and Sana of K-pop group TWICE at No. 3.
