Apollo Quiboloy denies mistreating women, claims single status makes him target of advances

Senator Risa Hontiveros urged Quiboloy to refrain from portraying himself as a victim and encouraged him to cooperate with legal proceedings.

Apollo Quiboloy, the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), has refuted accusations of mistreating women, asserting that his single status has made him a target for romantic advances.

In a statement released by the Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) on Wednesday, February 21, Quiboloy insisted that being unmarried has made him the subject of attention from multiple women.

He alleged that when he declines their advances, these women allegedly retaliate by distorting the truth.

Quiboloy also claimed that the women who have made allegations against him have been compensated.

Napahiya. Ngayon binayaran, at ngayon binabaliktad ang kanilang istorya.”

Additionally, Quiboloy asserted that he was compelled to speak out due to threats to his safety.

Senator Risa Hontiveros urged Quiboloy to refrain from portraying himself as a victim and encouraged him to cooperate with legal proceedings.

“‘Wag pong pa-victim.

Quiboloy’s statements come in the wake of a subpoena issued by the Senate Committee on Women after he failed to appear at a Senate inquiry concerning allegations of misconduct within the KOJC.

The KOJC has been accused of various crimes, including human trafficking, rape, sexual abuse, and child abuse.

Several women have come forward during the hearing to share their experiences of alleged mistreatment by Quiboloy.
