Actor Baron Geisler confessed to bringing hash brownies, containing an addictive substance, to the set of the beloved youth-oriented TV drama series ‘Tabing Ilog’ during his time filming the show.
During a candid discussion with fellow actor Jiro Manio at ‘Marites University,’ where they openly shared their struggles with addiction, Geisler reminisced about his earlier years in the industry. He recalled how he used to share “brownies” with his co-stars and crew members, clarifying that everyone involved was aware of the presence of “drugs” in the treats.
Referencing his time on ‘Tabing Ilog,’ Geisler disclosed, “Tabing Ilog, di ba? Akala mo malilinis kami, ‘di ba? Hindi nila alam, may mga sungay na nagti-trip kami. Ito ang nakakatawa, kasi parang legal na ako sa bahay. Wala na silang magawa. So gumagawa ako ng brownies, hash brownies. Ibibigay ko sa lahat ng mga cameraman pero alam na nila.”
Although Geisler did not identify specific individuals, he recounted an incident where crew members reportedly experienced intoxication due to his hash brownies. He described how they eagerly anticipated his brownies each Wednesday and how, on one occasion, the treats were particularly potent, causing some to fall asleep during production.
Hash brownies, which contain cannabis derivatives like marijuana, are known to be addictive and are prohibited by law.
Geisler also shared personal insights into his early exposure to drugs, revealing that he experimented with substances at the age of twelve. He admitted to a gradual escalation in drug use, ultimately leading to daily consumption of alcohol or marijuana.
