Pinoy girl group 4th Impact is facing backlash after initiating a donation drive aimed at constructing a “dreamland” for their 200 dogs.
On February 23, the group’s elder sister, Elvira, launched a Go Fund Me page with a target of raising $10,000 or over half a million pesos to support their cause.
According to the group, their journey with dogs began with five Shih Tzus gifted by their fans, which eventually multiplied over time.
Due to space constraints and complaints from neighbors about noise from their pets, the siblings were compelled to temporarily separate some dogs from their home while they pursued their dreams in LA.
Expressing their distress at being separated from their beloved pets, they resolved to establish a “dog haven” and sought assistance to realize this vision for their fur babies.
As of the latest update, the campaign has garnered donations amounting to $825 or nearly P50,000.
However, the group faced severe criticism from netizens who deemed their actions irresponsible for allowing their dogs to multiply to such an extent.
Numerous comments on social media platforms like Twitter criticized the group’s approach:
Cancel talaga ‘tong 4th Impact lalo na yang si Almira. Maldita si akla.
As a dog owner myself. (Actually DOGSSSS), you must be responsible sa pag aalaga ng pets nyo. Imagine may 100++ kayong aso pero di nyo naisip na pagawan muna sila ng maayos na place na walang mabubulabog — pic.twitter.com/15jbG9k6W0

besides being irresponsible backyard breeders, having money to go to the eras tour, get rhinoplasties, while still having the gall to beg for money to buy a “farmland” for their dogs, 4th impact is also blatantly plagiarizing “genie” by girls’ generation pic.twitter.com/NKDBwtGj1d

these 4th impact flops are pissing me off, wdym they have 200 dogs and now gaslighting ppl for their “fundraising” and saying “only true furparents will understand” like…true furparents wouldnt let their dogs keep on multiplying and make them as a business 🙃

No wonder why the 4th Impact never made it big.
They had the gall to say this as if they have a sustainable and responsible pet ownership, but now, they are asking for funds to purchase a land for their pets? pic.twitter.com/au0nvpGcxs— Jim,RN (@JimGumboc) March 3, 2024
Ang dapat sa mga katulad ng 4th Impact na yan, kasuhan ng paglabag sa Philippine Animal Welfare Act of 1998 (Batas Republika Bilang 8485).
Tapusin na natin ito.
BOYCOTT 4TH IMPACT NOW!
