In a recent interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,’ Donita Rose shared an intriguing aspect of her personal life, revealing that her prayers for a specific type of husband were seemingly answered in a remarkable manner.
Donita candidly disclosed the detailed criteria she had set out in her prayer list for a potential spouse, expressing her desire for someone with specific qualities. She articulated her wish for a partner who could fulfill roles such as a pastor or worship leader, preferably of Filipino heritage or mixed ethnicity, physically attractive, taller than herself, the primary provider in the relationship, and possessing a good sense of humor.
“I have a prayer list, very specific. Sabi ko, gusto ko ng parang puwedeng pastor, puwedeng worship leader, dapat Pinoy or at least half. Dapat guwapo siyempre. Dapat matangkad pa sa akin, dapat siya ‘yung magiging breadwinner, kasi marami akong pinagdaanan. Dapat nakakatawa,” Donita shared to Boy Abunda.
What stood out most was Donita’s revelation that she had prayed for a husband who remained a virgin until marriage. Despite the specificity of her request, she shared that her prayers seemed to have been answered in an unexpected way.
“Nag-joke pa ako kay Lord na hindi ko talaga akalain, sabi ko, ‘Lord sana maging virgin ang asawa ko.’ Natupad!” she added.
During her courtship with her current spouse, Felson Palad, he confessed to Donita that he had remained celibate until their marriage. Initially taken aback, Donita realized that this revelation aligned with her prayer for a husband who had maintained his purity.
Donita’s story serves as a testament to the power of faith and the belief that prayers, even for seemingly trivial or specific matters, can be answered in surprising ways.
The former actress was previously married to Eric Villarama in 2003, but their marriage ended after 12 years. She later tied the knot with Felson, a Filipino singer based in the United States, on September 24, 2022.
