Kapuso journalists Mariz Umali and Raffy Tima have recently sparked curiosity among the public regarding their stance on parenthood.
Despite over a decade of marital bliss, the couple has yet to embrace parenthood, prompting inquiries into whether this is a conscious decision or a matter of timing.
During a recent segment of ‘Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,’ Mariz and Raffy engaged in an intimate exchange, delving into a topic they had not previously explored together. Mariz posed a candid question to her spouse: “Kung sakali ba na hindi na tayo magkaanak, okay pa rin ‘yun?”
In response, Raffy conveyed his unwavering support, affirming that the absence of children would not diminish their happiness. He underscored Mariz’s profound impact on numerous individuals, likening her influence to that of a maternal figure.
“Of course okay lang ‘yun. Kasi unang-una bilang si Mariz Umali, marami na siyang naimpluwensyahan, marami na siyang anak, Tito Boy. Marami siyang na-influence du’n sa kanyang magandang buhay, so ang dami naming tinuturing na mga anak-anakan at we’re very proud of them. Mga naging kaibigan na namin sila,” expressed Raffy, who co-anchors “Balitanghali” on GTV.
In a reversal of roles, Raffy proceeded to inquire about the qualities that led Mariz to choose him as her partner. Mariz eloquently highlighted Raffy’s attributes, praising his intellect and unexpected sense of humor as factors that captured her heart.
“Natatalinuhan ako sa kanya pero I didn’t know na sobrang funny rin pala niya. So parang it’s a complete package. Everything that I need, everything that I want and everything that I hoped for and I prayed for, nasa kanya,” shared the ‘Unang Hirit’ host.
Mariz Umali and Raffy Tima’s relationship blossomed from a friendship forged in 2001 while working together, evolving into a deep love. Their marriage in 2012 marked the beginning of a journey filled with companionship and mutual respect. As they celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2022, their bond appeared stronger than ever, reflecting a partnership built on love and understanding.
