Former ‘PBB’ housemate Rian Bacalla embraces new identity as a woman

Former ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ (PBB) housemate Rian Bacalla, previously known as Ryan James Bacalla, has publicly shared her transformation journey, revealing her new identity as a woman.

In a recent Facebook post, Bacalla posted a then-and-now photo contrasting her appearance during her participation in the ‘Pinoy Big Brother 737’ edition in 2015 as an openly gay teenager and her current look as a woman.

“9 years ago today was the time I went inside the Pinoy Big Brother ABS-CBN house as a teen housemate. I was once a gay not totally accepted by my family and years forward,” Bacalla wrote, reflecting on her journey.

Bacalla highlighted the significant changes she has undergone since her time on the reality show. However, she emphasized that one thing has remained constant: her positive spirit.

“I’ve blossomed into a lady that I am now today. A lot has changed since then. But one thing is for sure, I’ll forever be your KID SUNSHINE NG CEBU,” she concluded.

In addition to her personal transformation, Bacalla is now a candidate for the upcoming “Queen of Cebu City Pride 2024,” representing Barangay Labangon in Cebu City.
