Vice President Sara Duterte, accompanied by her family and her mother Elizabeth Zimmerman, departed for Germany on the morning of July 24, amid the severe weather conditions brought by Typhoon Carina.
Reports confirm that Duterte and her party were seen at Terminal 3 of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) prior to their flight, which took off at 1:50 AM. Their itinerary includes a stopover in Dubai before heading to Munich, Germany.
The timing of Duterte’s trip has drawn significant attention, given the ongoing impact of Typhoon Carina, which has severely affected Metro Manila and much of Luzon.
This has led to comparisons with former Vice President Leni Robredo, who remained prominently involved in disaster response efforts despite not holding an official position in the government.
