Ion Perez files COC to run for councilor in Tarlac

As the election approaches, interest in Perez’s candidacy continues to grow.

TV host Ion Perez has confirmed his candidacy for the upcoming 2025 elections, officially filing his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) to run as a councilor in Concepcion, Tarlac.

On October 1, Perez personally visited the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office in Concepcion to submit his application, marking him as one of the first artists to file for candidacy this election season.

Before filing his COC, Perez took an oath as a new member of the Nationalist People’s Coalition during a ceremony held at the municipal hall of Concepcion. He is running under the party of Tarlac Governor Susan Yap.

While Ion Perez has not yet released any statements regarding his political ambitions, fans and followers of the actor are eagerly awaiting updates.

His partner, renowned actress and television host Vice Ganda, has also refrained from commenting on the matter.
