Notorious pretty shoplifter from Cebu, Jobelle Bascug, finally speaks up about the most recent accusations of her trying to get away from paying her salon and resort bills. It was cited in the previous article from The Dailypedia that Bascug apparently went to a salon in Mandaue last December 4 to take advantage of all the services she can have, only to leave the salon past midnight to get some cash from an ATM but never came back.
The popular “pretty shoplifter” who became an online media sensation was interviewed by King Perez of TV5 Aksyon Bisaya last December 11. At the time of the interview, Bascug has been staying in Cabo Resort for three days and her bill already reached P 15,000. She was brought the Asturias Police Station by the resort’s management since her parents, which she claimed that will pay her bill at the resort, did not arrive until 11 am that day. According to Police Inspector Philip John Libres, they would need to detain her at their station until parents arrive to settle her resort bills.
During the interview, Bascug was asked about what happened in the salon, and she said that she had no intentions of not paying her bill.
“I had cash but it wasn’t enough. I was about to go back, but something came up, an emergency came up, so I wasn’t able to go back, and it was very late, I don’t want the staff to keep waiting.”
She also claimed that she already sent payment to the salon owner through money remittance.
“I already sent money, I asked somebody, I just don’t know why the tracking number is wrong.”
In addition, she also stated that currently, establishments in Cebu are now concerned that she will not be able to pay as soon as they learn that she is Jobelle Bascug. The management of Cabo Resort wasn’t worried until they knew that she was the popular shoplifter. They also further stated that Bascug used the name Georgina Basug when she checked in. One of the staff even mentioned that Bascug claimed that she will check in with a popular married wealthy businessman who owns a poultry farm.
When asked what Bascug’s next plan is, she mentioned that she had no choice but to face charges and wait for her parents to settle her account. As to resolving her problems with shoplifting, she claims that she is already seeking help from a professional.
On a final note, Bascug said that she isn’t using her charm in order to take advantage and escape from paying her obligations, and her going back to Cebu is a way for her to live comfortably again in the city.
“I am simple. I don’t get why people label me as pretty, sexy, when in fact, that is not true. I am just normal. I just don’t get it why it is put that way.”
As of writing, there are no updates yet whether Bascug’s parents were able to go to Asturias Police Station.

Hindi lang simpleng kleptomaniac ang problema niya, she obviously has some mental or emotional problem l, she needs serious medical attention , hindi lang basta counseling…

I am a westerner married to an ordinary but beautiful filipino. this girl however from my standpoint has the personality of a brick…..and i apologise to all bricks that may be reading my comment here! she does not need professional help at all. she craves the limelight. stop giving her airtime and she may just fade back from wherever she came. there are many more deserving cases that you could give airtime to. she is neither beautiful or sexy. she is a common thief, liar, scammer, user, any name you desire to give her, but never pretty or sexy. she is “UGLY” for what she has done. maybe the staff in the salon will not get paid for the work they did because the salon was not paid. she has no receipt to prove she sent the money, she has no tracking number either…..she is a LIAR!!

i think the problem starts with her parents, why is she out there, where are her parents. Maybe this child was sexually abused my a member of her family, or close friends, baka na rape ng ama, uncle, cousin….it seems like her family does not care at all….and i think this is the problem….maybe this girl was a spoiled brat then now that the family can no longer provide her needs nag wala na yung bata….it all boils down to the family
that girl is absolutely a liar and a thief .. she knew that she don`t have any money but then she still have a confidence to went to salon for a treatment and she invent a story that she need to went to atm to get some money, how pathetic and a good liar she is right ?? .. shes damn and an ambisyosa na walang kayang ibuga. family or any relatives or her has no any responsibility of what have she done but apparently its all her fault .. no one controlling her mind or commanding her to do some disgusting things but only herself .. damn freaking liar thief!!
