Jessy Mendiola disclosed how her boyfriend, Luis Manzano, works discreetly to help ABS-CBN employees who are bound to lose jobs by August 31.
On Instagram, she defended her boyfriend from people who criticized Luis for being silent amidst the ABS-CBN franchise issue.
Jessy said that Luis has been busy for the past three days because he is organizing a job fair for ABS-CBN’s laid-off workers in cooperation with his friends.
“Alam ko na hindi ko na dapat ito i-post, pero sobrang proud ako sa’yo love,” Jessy wrote.

The actress had a go against people questioning Luis’ silence saying that the latter is working silently and is worrying about his staff.
She said that when Luis learned about the Congress’ verdict, his first question was: “Paano yung staff ko?”
Jessy expressed how proud she was of her boyfriend. Since Luis hadn’t shared what he was doing to help, Jessy thought that she must do it for him.
“Hindi man lahat matutulungan mo, ang importante ginagawa mo ang lahat sa abot ng makakaya mo,” she adds. “Sobrang buti ng puso mo.”
Jessy and Luis recently celebrated their fourth anniversary. In June 2016, Luis confirmed his relationship with Jessy, 5 months after he and Angel Locsin ended their relationship. In February 2020, the host already expressed his interest to marry the actress.
Jessy’s contract with Star Magic expired in October 2018 and she decided not to renew it. Currently, Jessy has started filming her new TV show on TV 5 network.
Meanwhile, Vivian Velez, the aunt of Jessy Mendiola has been a solid antagonist of ABS-CBN. Velez released celebratory posts after Congress denied the ABS-CBN franchise.
