Action star Robin Padilla posted his message to all Filipinos who cannot understand the present situation and politicizing the pandemic.
Robin expressed his dismay as some people cannot still understand that we are in a ‘world war’ against the COVID-19 while we are struggling under the corrupt leaders and opportunist businessmen.
[A lot of people cannot still accept the fact that our country is in the midst of a world war against COVID-19 while we cannot still recover from the poverty caused by opportunist businessmen and corrupt government officials.]
He is also confused about why Filipinos cannot understand each other and slammed those people who impose a threat for a revolution.
Robin then said that we are affected by the pandemic financially, but he emphasized that this is a global problem and it is not only us who are suffering. He then suggested stopping the complaints and to start finding ways to survive.
Robin said.
The actor also reiterated that this time is not a time for politicking, instead, it’s a time to help the government.
“Hindi ito ang oras ng pamumulitika! Ito ang oras ng pagtulong sa gobyerno maging ano man ang kulay mo.” he said.
“Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” he added.
In a press briefing on Sunday night, President Duterte warned those who were taunting a ‘revolution’ that he may retaliate.
“Next time, huwag ninyo akong parinigrinigin ng revolution. Naku, Diyos ko. Iyan ang mas delikado sa COVID. Eh kung mag-revolution kayo, you will give me the free ticket to stage a counterrevolution. How I wish you would do it,” said Duterte.
Robin Padilla is known to be an avid supporter of Duterte. He even campaigned for the latter during the 2016 elections for ‘free’.
