Comedian John Lapus and actor Juan Miguel Severo come to the aid of Jennylyn Mercado amid her exchanges with Arnell Ignacio, a huge Duterte supporter.
Ignacio went after Mercado after the latter spoke out against the current administration.
He also blasted the many celebrities who are commenting on politics.
Ignacio said.
Ignacio also replied to Mercado’s questioning of the government’s breakdown on the borrowed money for COVID-19 response.
“Nasaan napunta ang pera’, kita mo tuloy masasabihan ka ‘check-in mo nasa website ‘yan, ‘di ba? Mapapahiya ka pa,” Igancio said.
He advised actors to not ‘jump’ on topics that are irrelevant to their careers because being famous doesn’t equate to having knowledge about politics.
You have very successful careers dahil mahusay kayo sa linyang pag-aartista. Do not ever think the power of popularity will instantly translate into mastery of the political jungle. Wawasakin ninyo mga careers ninyo.”
The only thing John Lapus could say was ‘Ay’.

Juan Miguel Severo pointed out why Ignacio is qualified to talk about ruining careers because he himself has none to speak of.

Former sexy star Keanna Reeves attacked Mercado as well for her questioning about the funds.
“Malalaking company nga may sariling accountant, ikaw panigurado may accountant karin! Mahirap yan ate…
“Ikaw magaling umarte kasi linya mo yan, yang mga ganyang usapin, linya din nila yan, may kanya2x tayong expertise teh… walang ganun!
“TRANSPARENCY yes!!!
Mercado sees nothing wrong with wanting to learn more about how the country is doing.

A Kapuso, Mercado has recently been vocal about the issues surrounding the country, even the ABS-CBN franchise renewal one.
She also criticized the different government departments in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, like DOH Secretary Francisco Duque for his incompetence, the recent PhilHealth corruption, and Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque who was spotted sleeping during the State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte.
