Netizens are now skeptical of Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio’s intentions for 2022 after saying she will require isolation for the members of the “Run Sara Run” movement.
“I told them not to push through with their activity because of the surge of cases in Manila and Cebu and it is very dangerous for them and for the people of Davao City because they might be a possible carrier of the virus,” said Mayor Sara in a radio interview.
Mayor Sara was referring to those who went with Barangay 23-C chairman Alimoden Usman last March 21 to get more people to push for Mayor Sara to run for president.
The caravan has since made its way to some of the northernmost parts of the country, including a trip to Isabela province.

In the same radio interview, Duterte would admit that she is worried for the health and safety of the participants, all of whom apparently hail from Davao City.
Duterte, however, has made it clear that she will not run for president in 2022, and that she opposed the caravan in the first place.
Some netizens, however, are not buying it.
So kung kaya mo silang utusan, does this mean tao mo ang mga miyembro ng "Run Sara Run" movement all along? pic.twitter.com/1osEFHhy0p

One netizen even questioned whether the caravan—which includes other barangay captains and government employees—were on “official duty”.
Some of them are barangay captains and govt employees going on a natl campaign tour. Ibig sabihin nyan may sweldo pa rin sila even if they're not doing what they're supposed to be doing? Nagfile ba ng mga leave tong mga hunghang na to or nagabsent? Hello DILG?

Even former ACT-Teacher partylist representative Antonio Tinio is not convinced.
So nasa direct command pala niya ang "Run, Sara, Run" movement kahit sabi niya hindi siya tatakbo. pic.twitter.com/3CDuLRAGcB

This statement would likely amplify the hate netizens have over politicians campaigning a year early for the 2022 national elections.
Recently, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go and Presidential Chief Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo were “caught on camera” going to supermarkets and groceries.
Go’s trip was supposedly to get more supplies for one of his programs, while Panelo argued that his trip to the market is his way of checking on minimum health protocols.
