A man suffering from a heart attack while driving in Barangay Central Quezon City was eventually saved thanks to concerned citizens.
Netizen Jomar Rowaon uploaded several videos of the incident on Facebook.
In one of the videos, an unidentified man is seen struggling in the driver’s seat of his car as another man is doing something to him to prevent his situation from getting worse.
The one helping is seen thumping and rubbing the victim’s chest and abdominal area.
In another video, two men are holding the victim up while one inserts a spoon in his mouth.
The driver struggles to breathe but he seemingly recovers after several interventions.
Emergency medical technicians then arrive at the scene and transport him to a health facility.
“Isang lalaki ang inatake sa kanyang saksakyan , god still good paren.. Saludo sa mga taong nagmalasakit at tumulong para mailigtas ang buhay ni kuya..” Jomar said in a native language.
Heart attacks will most likely occur when cholesterol levels are high, regardless of age. Symptoms may include pain or tightness in the chest area that could radiate to the lower back, neck, jaw, or both arms.
To avoid experiencing it, one must remain healthy. Smoking should no longer be a habit, along with drinking and other vices. If suffering from coronary heart disease, it is advisable to take aspirin.
