Even if Janine Gutierrez has been in show business for quite a while, but she admits to having a simple lifestyle.
In an appearance on Magandang Buhay, she said that not every celebrity is rich, and those with acting careers are considered part of the working class.
“Akala kasi nila minsan, di ba, ‘pag artista automatic parang mayaman, di mo ma-reach, eh hindi naman ganun ang family ko,” Gutierrez said when asked if she had ever experienced what normal Filipino kids usually go through when growing up.
She also played traditional games such as hopscotch and others.
“Yes, of course. Hopscotch, agawan base, piko,” she said.
In the same interview, she and her siblings thanked their father Ramon Christopher “Monching” Gutierrez for always being there, for them.
Monching is grateful as well for having children any parent would want to have.
“Ang mga anak ko very mababait ‘yan, very respectful, very generous. Ang ibig kong sabihin talagang mababait sila,” Moching said.
Janine is the latest addition to the ABS-CBN roster of artists. She will soon appear on the series, Marry Me, Marry You.
