ABS-CBN Entertainment Production Head is optimistic that the Kapamilya network will eventually make a comeback.
In an interview with Rappler, he said that despite the difficulties they faced, many blessings came along the way.
“Looking back, minus all the pain, daming blessings naman ang nakuha namin. Slowly, we will get back to where we were,” he said.
“No matter what hindrances, we will survive, we will continue,” he added.
ABS-CBN has been off the air since last year after a congressional panel rejected its bid for franchise renewal. The controversial shutdown saw ABS-CBN lay off half of its workforce and has lost billions in revenue.
Its programs can be streamed on the A2Z Channel and on TV5 but the success is nowhere near the pre-shutdown era.
ABS-CBN got shut down during the pandemic, which did a lot of damage and prompted it to be innovative.
“Crisis is a good teacher…. We’re hit by both the pandemic and the shutdown, and we’re forced to be innovative. Survival, eh.” Dyogi said.
